The 1920 Carbines were manufactured or assembled by DWM for commercial sale in Germany and elsewhere. Most were made using 1906 frames with the stock lug added. Many, like this one have mixed serial numbers. This 1920 carbine has a 1902 toggle assembly with the DWM scroll on the front link The rear link has 6730 stamped on the top. It has the standard 11.75", 7.65mm (30 Luger) barrel with an integral ramp front sight base and 4-position adjustable rear sight. It is proofed on the left frame and bottom of the barrel. In addition to the standard German proofs, the bottom of the barrel has British nitro proofs. It is equipped with a properly operating grip safety. It has approximately 90% blue with areas of fading. The straw parts have faded. The nickel with wood base magazine is numbered 3722l with a + below. The checkered walnut grips are very good with very good checkering. The checkered walnut forearm is very good. The buttstock is fine with sharp checkering, a steel buttplate, and attaching iron numbered 6295d. It has very few use/storage dents and dings. The action functions correctly. Included in the case are a reproduction magazine loading/combination tool, 22 rounds of 30 Luger ammunition, and the key for the case. The modern case is excellent. Very few Model 1920 Luger carbines were produced. Don't miss this reasonably priced example.
