This third production type percussion-altered Hall rifle was made in 1839. It is in fine condition. The 32 5/8" round 52 caliber barrel has an excellent bore with bright rifling. The front and rear sights are correctly offset to the left. This third production type percussion-altered Hall rifle was made in 1839. It is in fine condition. The 32 5/8" round 52 caliber barrel has an excellent bore with bright rifling. The front and rear sights are correctly offset to the left to clear the hammer. The breechblock is marked J.H. HALL/US/1839. The metal has approx. 92% to clear the hammer. The breechblock is marked J.H. HALL/US/1839. The metal has approx. 92% of its original arsenal brown finish with light wear on the remainder. The stock is fine with sharp edges and no cracks or chips. The swivels and ramrod are present. The action functions correctly with the exception that the hammer can be released with a trigger pull at half cock. This percussion-altered Hall rifle is fit for the finest collection.
