Colt Black Powder Single Action .45 Long Colt (AC164)

Colt black powder single action revolver caliber .45Long Colt with a five and half inch barrel. Manufactured in 1880 per serial number. This revolver was an Artillery Model some time long ago . The left-side off the frame has the letter "U" which is legible and a very faint letter “S”. The bore is excellent. The action works perfectly and locks up and indexes perfectly.  The grips are one piece walnut and fit well with the bottom of the grips a bit short of a flush fit. The entire revolver has been refinished long ago and the barrel address ,patent dates, and barrel markings were removed in the refinish. The serial numbers are easily legible. Note that this is a BLACK POWDER revolver and NOT for modern smokeless high pressure loads.
