Dutch Model 1873 (Old Model) Army Pistol (AH6395)

The Dutch Model 1873 (Old Model) solid frame double action revolver is based on the Chamelot Delvigne design. The overall length is approx. 12'. The 6.3" octagon 9.4mm caliber barrel has a fine bright bore with strong rifling and light erosion. The gate-loaded cylinder holds six rounds. All metal has a smooth blue brown patina. The barrel has a blade front sight and notched receiver top rear sight. The barrel has a crown over B on the left and right flats and a crown over F on the top flat. The right side of the receiver is marked P. STEVENS over MAASTRICHT with 1889 over 3V 238 (unit marking) below. The grips are good with some shrinkage, light use wear, and no cracks or chips. The action functions correctly. These large revolvers were used by the Dutch military through WWII.
