Wilkinson & Sons Pair of Side By Side Percussion Pistols (AH6382)

Very fine pair of cased double barrel .50 caliber side by side percussion pistols. This pistols have silver roundel at the tail of the rear barrel tang and are inscribed in fine script "WTF 2nd DR. Guards (2nd Dragoon Guards)". Same inscription on both pistols. These pistols have all the niceties one would expect of Wilkinson pistols. Barrel lengths of 5.5" to breech plug. Breech plugs have platinum "blow out plugs". The breech plug tang is expertly engraved and has a knurled thumb safety. The butt cap is likewise well engraved and has a trap door for percussion caps or extra nipples. The pistols have captive ramrods and the bridles holding the ramrods are engraved. Trigger guard, bows and front grip strap have very good blue and are engraved. The grip straps are engraved with matching serial numbers. The lock plates and cocks are engraved en suite and marked "Wilkinson & Sons". The grips have fine line checkering. Note: One grip has an old hair line crack near the inscription plate that has a well done repair. Rare to find double barrel pair of Wilkinson pistols and with Dragoon guards connection!
