Pair of Durs Egg Percussion Muff Pistols (AH6350)

This pair of percussion muff pistols was made by a well known London gunmaker, Durs Egg. They are approx. 4.75" long. They have approx. 1.5" octagon smooth bore 36 caliber barrels. The turn off barrels have Birmingham proof marks. The frames and trigger guards have light decorative engraving. The bag shaped grips feature fine checkering and oval blank German silver inlays on the back. Both actions function correctly. Both are marked D. EGG over LONDON to the rear of the hammer. Gun number one has intact grips, a light brown patina, and scattered light pitting. Gun number two has a repair to the grip, a lighter brown patina, and less pitting than gun one. This nice representative pair of percussion muff pistols from a well known maker is ready for any collection of small pistols.
