Beautiful 1860 Staff & Field Presentation Sword (SW1406)

29” blade made by J. H. McKenney in New York. Beautiful presentation sword to Captain Charles Loom. Blade is nickel plated with an acid etched blade with patriotic themes and the presentation. The blade also has gold wash in the acid etching. The blade is “Voted to Capt Chas. G. Loom Armory Fair 4^th Regt. C.A.G. Bridgeport Conn Nov 14 1885” The guard is relief cast gilded brass with patriotic themes. Grip is brass wire wrapped silver. The blade and guard are nice, but have some spots of wear. The scabbard is nickel plated and rates at approximately 70%. Very fine presentation sword!
