Civil War Maynard Carbine (AL6934)

This is a second model percussion Maynard Union Civil War carbine. The overall length is approx. 36.5". The 20" octagon to round 50 caliber barrel has a fine bore with bright, strong rifling. It has a brown patina with roughness toward the breech. The correct front and rear sights are present. The frame has the standard EDWARD MAYNARD and MASS. ARMS CO. stampings. The stock is good with medium usage wear and no visible cartouches. The sling ring and bar are present. The action functions correctly. This was one of the most used Union Civil War carbines.
