War of 1812 Canadian Militia or Also known as “Indian Contract Dragoon Pistol by Hollis (AH6649)

These were supplied from merchants and not from ordnance, thus they are often called the 1813 Indian Contract pistols. Barrel measures 9" in length and is marked with a crown over "GR" and broad arrow as well as a Tower crossed scepters acceptance stamp. Metal has a dark brown to almost black patina. Action works well. This is a gun you do not come across often!
