Scarce British Kynoch 476 Caliber Revolver (AH6631)

Only about 600 of these scarce Kynoch .476 caliber top break six-shot revolvers were made in the 1880s, The overall length is approx. 11'. The 6" round barrel with rib has a fine bore with light erosion in the grooves. The barrel rib is marked KYNOCH GUN FACTORY ASTON and the top strap is stamped PATENT MODEL. The barrel has Birmingham proof marks. The frame, cylinder, and barrel have approx. 75% blue turning brown. The left side of the frame is marked CAL 476. The checkered grips are fine with no cracks or chips. There is a lanyard ring attached to the butt cap. This second type revolver is serial number 146.  It features an unusual double trigger with a trigger cocking mechanism. The bottom trigger sets the action and the top trigger fires it. The action functions correctly. This is a scarce and unusual top break English revolver.
