Walther 0 Series P.38 9mm (PR55068)
This is a fourth variation zero series P.38 9mm pistol with matching magazine. These were trials guns that were distributed to Wehrmacht troops and regular line solciers for evaluation. This pistol retains approx. 96% of its high gloss blue finish. The numbers on the frame, slide, and magazine match. The slide is marked with the WALTHER banner followed by P.38 followed by the serial number, 07177. It has the eagle over 359 inspection stamp on many parts. These pistols were produced from April to June or July 1941. This was the basic desigh that was then adopted as the service P.38 pistol. The bore is excellent with bright, strong rifling. The black checkered plastic grips with a round concave depression around the lanyard loop in the left panel are excellent. The action functions correctly. Although this is the more "common" of the zero series P.38 pistols, they are still difficult to find, especially in excellent original condition with a matching magazine.
