This pre-WWII Type 14 pistol is dated June, 1935. The 4.5" round barrel has a very good bore with light firing wear. The gun retains approx. 90% blue with fading on the grip straps. The straw colors are approx. 50%. The right side of the receiver is marked with the Nagoya Arsenal symbol followed by an inspection character followed by the serial number. Below that, to the rear of the upper grip is a Japanese character followed by 10.6 (June, 1935). The left side has the Safe and Fire characters followed by four Japanese characters at the rear. All serial numbers, except the magazine, match. The grips are fine with no cracks or chips and a wear groove from the safety lever. The action functions correctly. This is a very good pre-WWII Type 14 pistol. If you collect Japanese pistols and need a pre-WWII example, this one is for you.
