This is a scarce second variation, standard issue 9mm Walther ac41 P.38 pistol. It was produced from March to Novermber 1941. It has the high gloss blue finish, the ac41 slide marking, but not the ac code on the left front of the trigger guard. The bore is excellent with bright, strong rifling. The gun has approx.95% of its original high gloss blue finish on the slide and barrel with light edge wear. The frame has approx. 98% of its blue finish. The left side of the slide is marked from front to rear P.38 followed by ac over 41 followed by the serial number, 8236e. The serial number is repeated above the trigger guard and on the front of the barrel lug. An eagle over 359 Waffenamt is above the trigger guard and twice ont the right slide with an eagle firing proof in between. The brown plastic grips are excellent with no warpage. The magazine is marked P.38 and eable over 359 Waffenamt inspected and the number, 5279e, is close to this gun. The action functions correctly. The black holster is fine with tight stitching. The spare magazine is marked P.38, has the eagle over 359 Waffenamt, and is numbered 5053j. The rear of the holster is marked cgu 41 with P.38 to the right. A partial WaA920 Waffenamt is to the right of the cgu. This is a great early ac41 Walther P.38 rig. Most of these ac41 guns were lost on the Russian front. Don't miss this rig!
