Colt Third Issue Officers Model 38 Revolver (C17662)

This Third Issue Colt Officers Model 38 Special revolver is circa 1930. The 7.5" barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. The barrel is marked on the left side *OFFICERS MODEL 38* and the last patent date on the top is OCT. 5. 1926. It has adjustable front and rear sights. The gun has approx. 92% blue with the grips straps having turned. The rear grip strap and blued trigger are checkered. The edges of the hammer are brigth blue and the sides are bright. The checkered walnut grips, with brass Colt medallions, are very good with light wear and a few dents on the bottom. The action functions correctly. This very nice 7.5" barrel Third Issue Colt Officers Model 38 would look good in your collection.
