Kit includes: State of New York 1808 Type flintlock musket made in 1812. Has 42" round smooth bore barrel in .69 caliber with a very good brown bore and visible manufacturing marks. Breech has a M over 1812, followed by P over SJ, followed by a larger SNY at the rear. The barrel is a smooth gray-brown. The lock is marked with only SNY. All metal parts have a brown patina. Swivels and ramrod are present. Stock is good with a poorly done crack repair at the wrist, also has issue dents and dings with a nice round New York state inspection stamp on the left flat. The original flintlock action functions correctly. A good representative of a New York State War of 1812 flintlock musket.  Next, U.S. Model 1813 Flintlock Army Pistol. Made by Simeon North, Middletown, CT., circa 1813 to 1815. The overall length is approximately 15 ¼”. The .69 caliber, 8 7/8” Smoothbore barrel has a good bore. The barrel, band, trigger guard, and strap have a smooth gray/brown patina. The lock and cock have a smooth brown patina. The stock is very good with a visible cartouche, no chips or cracks. This pistol appears to have been expertly reconverted to flintlock. The barrel has the expected P/US and HHP but these may have been added during the reconversion. The lock is marked “S. North” over U Eagle S over “Midln Con”. The action functions correctly. Only 626 were delivered to the army. This is a very hard to find pistol, priced at half of what it would be in original flint. Lastly, an Eagle Head Officer’s Sword, circa 1810. Has a 27 ½” blade with blue and gilt finish. Hilt is cast brass with a very fine open-mouthed eagle. Sheath is leather with brass mountings. There is a repair on the leather scabbard. Don’t miss this one of a kind kit!
