U.S. Model 1861 contract rifled musket Trenton (AL7326)
U.S. model 1861 rifled musket by J.T. Hodge and A.M. Burton at the Trenton Locomotive and Machine. Metal has a smooth brown patina. Lock is dated 1864 and barrel is marked 1863 with N.J. as well. Wood has been lightly sanded at some point. Overall a nice example of a Civil War rifled musket.
