U.S. Springfield model 1888 trapdoor rifle chambered in .45-70. Serial number is 97824, overall good condition. Metal is a smooth patina with traces of case coloring visible on the breech. Bore is bright with strong rifling noted. Stock is good with handling wear noted. Cartouche is dated 1891.
