Remington 7mm Rolling Block Carbine (AL5637)
This 7mm Mauser caliber Remington rolling block saddle ring carbine is circa 1897. The great majority of these carbines went to Central and South America. The 20.5" barrel has a much better than average bore with some brightness and strong rifling. The metal parts have a smooth brown patina with scattered pitting, especially under the handguard. With the exception of *51* on the right side of the receiver, the gun is unmarked. The restored stock is good with scattered areas of fillers and repairs. The sling bar and ring are present on the left side of the receiver and sling swivels are on the right side of the stock. The action functions correctly. This rifle presents well and will fill that hole in your collection.
