Custer Range Ainsworth Inspected Colt Single Action Army (AC515)

Serial number 6066. 45 LC caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. This gun is a Cavalry model purchased by the military and inspected by O. W. Ainsworth.  This is a very fine sharp gun with a light silvery gray patina. This gun falls in the 6^th lot issued to the cavalry where Lot 5 & 6 are the guns issued to the 7^th cavalry and could have been used at the Battle of the Little Big Horn. This gun comes with a letter from noted expert John Kopec authenticating this gun as all original with the exception of a correct type, but replaced ejector rod housing.
