Serial number 73517. Made in 1882. 45 LC caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. This is a nice sharps gun with traces of blue in protected areas and still some case colors on the frame. Mostly though the metal has a dark bluish gray patina. Grips are excellent. The gun comes with a letter of authentication from noted author and Colt expert John Kopec. He says this gun was mostly likely issued to the state of Michigan. He also concludes this gun is completely original with the exception of two minor replacement screws. Because this is such a fine revolver, he awarded it a coveted Silver seal. Very fine Colt Cavalry Model!
