U.S. Springfield 1898 Krag carbine (R38296)

Serial No. 480764, chambered in 30-40 Krag, manufactured in 1904. Overall good condition with a 22" barrel, bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling visible. Carbine has an 1896 rear sight not "C" marked and has a 1905 front sight base. Wood is good with a handsome 1901 cartouche visible. More than likey this is an 1898 carbine converted to Model 1899.
