Beautiful French Target Pistol by Devisme (AH8172)
NSN. Made circa 1845. 46 caliber with a 9 ½” barrel. These guns are in excellent condition with most of the factory original finish. Locks, barrels, tangs, side plates trigger guard and pistol grip plate are all deluxe engraved. The stocks are carved ebony. Both the barrel and the locks are marked “Devisme A Paris” This pair comes in a very fine case with beautiful accessories. The exterior of the case is excellent and has beautiful engraved brass inlays Louis François-Devisme was one of the top gunsmiths from the 1830s until the 1860s.
