Belgian Model 1844/60 Piedmontese Percussion Musket .74 caliber (AL8116)
NSN, circa 1840s, .74 caliber, 40.5" round barrel. Imported musket used in the civil war in untouched "attic" condition. Lock plate is marked in "CROWN/AF", handsome cartouche is noted right side butt stock. Action functions correctly. Roughly 100,000 were imported with majority issued to Illinois troops.
