Beautiful German Flintlock Rev War Era Pistols by A. C. Erlang (AH8301)
Made 1762. 54 caliber with 8 ½” barrels. Beautiful guns with gilded brass furniture that is relief cast. The locks are nicely engraved. Wood is very good. The trigger guard has been repaired on one of the gun. The ramrod is a replacement on one of the guns. The top of the barrel on one gun is marked “A. C. ERLANG Anno 1762” We have not been able to find Erlang as a maker. The top of the other barrel is marked “MES COUP SONT MORTELS” which translates to “My punch is Deadly” Very Fine set of Pistols!
