Triplett and Scott Civil War carbine .50RF (AL8136)
NSN, made in 1864-1865, .50RF, 30" round barrel, Barrel and receiver are a smooth dull grey patina with pin-prick surface oxidation visible, minor gouges are visible along the top of the receiver. Left side of receiver is marked "KENTUCKY". Frame and trigger guard are a light grey patina with traces of case coloring visible. Wood is very good with expecting usage marks visible. A split is noticeable near the magazine, this is seen on almost every gun. Bore is good with some oxidation noted in the grooves. Magazine tube holds 7 rounds, approximately 5,000 were made with 3,000 with the 30" barrel length.
