French Mle 16 Berthier by Chtellerault Arsenal 8mm Lebel (R38886)

Serial No. BD16323, made in 1938, 8mm Lebel, 18.5" round barrel marked "MAC 1938", last year production of the Berthier before the fall of France in 1940. Serial numbers are matching except for bolt, Bore is excellent with strong rifling visible. Receiver is "PK" marked, this has to do with the French experimenting on new finishes. Stock is very good with with 1938 cartouche visible. Action functions correctly.
