U.S. Civil War Smith Carbine .50 caliber (AL7853)

Serial No. 3685. circa 1862-1863, .50 caliber, 21 5/8" octagonal to round barrel. Bluing on the barrel is staring to thin and turn to a brown patina with mottled surface oxidation visible. Bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling noted. Receiver is correctly marked with matching serial numbers. Wood is very good with light handling marks noted. Cartouche is visible left side. Action functions correctly.
