War of 1812 Saber by Nathan Starr (SW1846)

Circa 1813-1814, manufactured at the Nathan Starr factory and delivered to all U.S. Dragoons by 1814. Curved blade is 32" in length with a 26.5" fuller. Blade is a dark grey patina with scattered surface oxidation visible. Wooden grip is dry and leather is long gone. Ricasso is marked "US/P/LS/N.STARR" Scabbard is a brown patina with surface oxidation noted.
