SN 4253818: Made in 1953 at Springfield Armory in .30-06 with a February 1953 dated Springfield 24-inch barrel with bright bore in excellent condition. Factory Korean War-era parts to include "SA JLG" buttstock, T105E1 rear sight assembly, radius cut op-rod, US2 SA bolt & a "P O" marked poppet valve gas cylinder lock screw. Rifle is in overall remarkable condition with original finish across all metal parts & no cracks in the wood although there is some handling wear & the number "87" has been applied as a rack number just forward of the magazine floorplate. Comes with M1943 web sling in Olive Drab shade 7. This is an overall magnificent example of a Cold War era M1 Garand service rifle & it would be hard to improve on it.
