U.S Model 1836 Flintlock Pistol by Robert Johnson.   Flintlock pistol by Robert Johnson of Middletown Ct. Converted to percussion. All Iron mounts. Bolster inspector “AV”, Barrel markings NWP and US and P. Lock marked R Johnson, Midden CT. Date 1840. Some of those converted Johnson pistols went to state militias and recent evidence is thought to have been issued to the Philadelphia Light Cavalry. Markings on lock are light. Barrel markings are deep, stock cartouches are very good. Overall very good condition.
