Colt 1878 Frontier Double Action popular .44-40 caliber. Barrel marked “Frontier Six Shooter”, Colt’s designation for .44-40 caliber. Bore has strong rifling and has corrosion in the grooves. Action works perfectly. Grips have cracks that are mended, and show smooth hand wear. Barrel length is 5 ½”. Gun has an even patina color. Good plus overall condition and in .44-40 caliber.
