Rare Colt Thuer Conversion Navy 1851 (C15247)

Rare Colt Thuer Conversion Navy 1851 caliber revolver. Numbers are matching except the Thuer cylinder which does have the last 4 digits of the frame, backstrap, trigger guard and barrel. The last 3 digits were probably put on when the Thuer cylinder went on the revolver. Cylinder scene is clear and easily visible. The bore is excellent and bright. Action works perfectly. Grips are excellent with all of the original varnish. Barrel has approximately 90% original blue. Cylinder shows 90% plus original finish, now turning to a blue/brown patina. Note: Loading lever is not numbered as 15 in the case on many Thuer Conversion Colts. Bore is excellent. This is a rare Conversion seldom seen on the market today!
