Colt Frontier Six Shoot .44-40 caliber revolver. Beautiful 1878 in popular .44-40 caliber. Barrel roll die marked Colt Frontier Six Shooter. Gun has 96-97% bright early high luster original blue. Grips are excellent and show some light chocolate coloring as is seen on many Colt hard rubber grips. There is a light abrasion on the inspection disks. Comes with a factory letter mentioning the gun just as you see it. Gun has a factory "Star" mark on the trigger guard. This sometimes means return for repair or refinishing. There is absolutely no evidence of refinishing as every edge and marking is perfect. Gun is guaranteed original factory blue. This is a really eye popping 1878 in .44-40!
