U.S. Model 1917 Trench Knife. U.S. Army issue for hand to hand trench warfare in WWI. Many of these have the end of the scabbard broken. This one does not have that problem. Blade is excellent with almost all of the original blue. Scabbard has some scuffs but is very good plus handle is perfect. The guard is marked “U.S. LF&C 1917”. LF&C is the maker Landers, Frary and Clark. Hard to find in nice condition. Very fine example.
