Colt 1877 Lightning .38 (C12591)

Colt 1877 Lightning .38 caliber revolver. Manufactured approximately 1903. Barrel length 6”. Gun has factory checkered rosewood grips. Action works perfectly. Bore has good rifling. Gun has approximately 98% of a very old refinish. No buffing or blurring of markings occurred. This gun was from the collection assembled in the 1920’s in Galveston, Texas. Known as the “Interurban Queen Collection”. The Interurban was a trolley that ran 41 miles from Houston to Galveston. The Interurban Queen was a cigar store, newsstand and miscellaneous goods store next to the Trolley Station and the owner amassed a collection of antique guns and hung them on the walls. This Colt lightning was one of those guns.
