Beautiful U.S. Model 1816 Contract Musket by N. Starr (AL4742)

Beautiful U.S. Model 1816 contract musket by N. Starr. Barrel retains its original brown armory finish, except the area in front of the first barrel band that in a bright finish. Lock plate is dated 1832 and has gorgeous case colors. N Starr emblem is excellent. Frizzen also has beautiful original case colors. Wood is good, shows minor handling wear. Cartouche is present. Musket also has 8-point star motif under the date, there are mostly seen on early example!
