Large All Metal Stocked Percussion Pistol Marked Hyde and Goodrich (AH4310)

Large All Metal Stocked Percussion Pistol Marked Hyde and Goodrich. .52 caliber with a 5” barrel, 11” overall length. Unusual gun with all brass stock. Barrel is marked “Hyde & Goodrich”. The right hand side of the stock behind the hammer is marked “Van Wart Son & Co.” The stock is nicely engraved. The firm Hyde and Goodrich was a firm out of New Orleans that imported military and luxury items. Hyde and Goodrich supplied swords and guns to the Confederacy. Very rare and fine piece!
