Colt 1902 Alaskan .45 LC (C9166)

Colt 1902 Alaskan .45 LC caliber revolver. Bore is excellent. Gun has 80% of an Arsenal Refinish. In Don Wilkerson’s book Colts Double Action Revolver Model 1878 on page 397 he refers to some revolvers having been refinished at theManila Arsenal. The gun has excellent grips. All markings and Inspectors marks are sharp except for the barrel address which is barely legible. Action works perfectly. Gun has 95% original blue with a bit of thinning on the front grip strap. Grips are excellent. Beautiful 1911 Colt commercial. The reason we say this is Arsenal refinish is that over the last 40 years we have owned at least 20 refined examples of these 1902 Alaskan/Philippino revolvers. They are all refinished Exactly. The same with fine line polishing marks. The first ones we saw back in the 1970’s we assumed were just Gunsmith refinishes. After more than 20 we are reasonably sure these were returned to an Arsenal and refinished.
