Reasonable priced Henry rifle. Serial number 63XX made in 1864. This gun is all matching. The stock is undersized around the tang, but shows no signs of recent refinishing. The Henry bump is still prominent. The barrel has a smooth brown patina. The brass is mustard color patina. Marked on the frame just above the chamber is the name "Curtis" and on each side on the frame is the number "1937" which is also stamped on the left hand side of the barrel. The barrel has been slightly shortened and now measures 23". The bore is dark, but rifling can be seen among the corrosion. An original Henry at a reasonable price!
