U.S. Springfield Model 1840 Musket (AL4970)
U.S. Springfield Model 1840 musket. Has been reconverted back to original flintlock configuration. Metal has gray and brown patina. Lock plate is dated 1841. Barrel tang has been re-stamped to match the lock. Stock has been lightly sanded with minor bumps and dings. Faint cartouche outline is visible.
