Whitney-Howard Thunderbolt .44 caliber rifle. Desirable breech loader lever action with 28” barrel and tang peep sight. Bore has strong rifling with frosting. Metal has a brown and gray patina. Action works perfectly. These rifles were made 1866-1870. Hard to come by.
