Marlin Model 1881 Lever Action .45-70 caliber rifle. .45-70 Caliber (Top flat of barrel is marked “.45 Govt”). Bore is excellent. Action works perfectly. Barrel and magazine tube have approximately 70% blue, the rest flaked to patina color. Note: Metal is very smooth, no pits or abuse. Stock is very good with 95% original varnish. Overall an above average 1881 in view of most examples are very well used!
