U.S. Model 1808 Contract Musket by T. French (AL4638)
U.S. Model 1808 Contract Musket by T. French. These contract muskets were patterned off the Harpers Ferry. Only 4000 were said to have been delivered of the contract. Metal has been cleaned and shows heavy pitting on the barrel and barrel bands. Wood is good, lightly sanded. Lock has Eagle with T. French and Canton at the rear in vertical.
