Whitney 1861 Percussion “Plymouth” Rifle. Only 10,000 of these rifles were manufactured. Metal has been cleaned shows surface staining. Lock is dated 1863 and is of the first style. Stock is in great condition, shows minor handling wear. Rifle also comes with Dahlgren bayonet dated 1864 and “U.S.N.” marked on ricasso with “D.R.” inspector marks. Comes with original sheath in excellent condition
