(John T. Thompson) on the left grip. Note: right and left side bottom of grip is marked in small letters “N.G. Toms”. Very likely the person to whom the revolver was issued. Bore is excellent. Action works perfectly. Revolver is stamped U.S. Army Model 1899. Gun has approximate34ly 85-90% blue. This is a named 1st Model with very early serial.

Scarce lend lease Victory model. This is a .38 S&W caliber revolver, U.S. property marked on the top strap. The British Birmingham proof house marks are “BV, NP, MP all with crown”. Frame marked by crown and “not English made”. Bore is excellent. Action works perfectly. Grips are excellent. This gun was sent to the British in WWII under the “Lend-Lease” program. We have sold many Victory models over the years but not many British Birmingham proofed revolver. Many went to Britain but not many came back to the U.S.
