  • Pair of Scottish Flintlock Pistols by W. Brander. Unusual pair of London Made Scottish style pistols by W. Brander. These are classic Scottish style all metal guns. Barrels are 8” and total length are 13 ½”. The only deviation from the classic Scottish style of these guns is the Inverted V spring style lock. William Brander was a London gunsmith from 1752-1789. Along with this gun comes a binder that has different examples of guns that he made. None that we found were in the Scottish style. All of his guns are of excellent quality and the Metropolitan Museum of Art has a pair in their collection.

  • European Copy of a 1st Model Smith & Wesson .44 Caliber Revolver. Smith & Wesson double action revolver has a different break opener, Pryse type lever opener, on the left side of the frame. We do not know the manufacturer although the monogram in the grips could be a clue. Bore has good rifling and is fair to good. The double and single action operations work perfectly. The cylinder chambers are bored straight through and are approximately .50 caliber. Barrel length is 5 ¾” and is 10 ½” overall length. Gun is factory engraved with foliate motif.
