German Model 1871 Carbine. German model 1871 carbine made in 1876. Receiver is marked “OESTERR.WAFFB.GES”. Serial numbers are matching. Bore has strong rifling. Wood has sharp cartouches. Butt plate is unit marked twice/ One marking is “B.1.T.L.11.7” (Bayerisches Armeekorps I Train-Batalion, Feldlararmett II, Waffe NR.7) lined out. The second is “B.R.F.2.35” (Bayerisches Reserve-Fuhrparkkolonne 2, Waffe NR.35). A very good model 71 carbine with 2 unit markings.
