1879 Remington Lee .45-70 (AL4342)

1879 Remington Lee .45-70 caliber rifle. This is an early detachable box magazine rifle introduction to the U.S. military.This rifle was ordered for the U.S. Navy contract in October 1884. Stock is in excellent condition. Barrel shows nice even layer of brown patina with original bluing. Bore is in excellent shape with strong rifling. This is a great example of an early naval rifle in excellent condition.
