English Transitional Pepperbox .40 (AH4931)

English Transitional Pepperbox .40 caliber revolver. Barrel length is 5 ½” and overall length of 12”. These are somewhat unique pistols as the frame is of pepperbox traditional design but the shortened cylinder and long single barrel are more associated with the conventional revolver design. This fine condition pistol, has excellent original barrel blue. The top flat is marked “Improved revolver”. Cylinder blue has trimmed. Grips are excellent. Pistol is very nicely scroll engraved. Gun has no markers name which is usually the case. Cylinder has Birmingham proof marks
