U.S. Model 1875 Officers Trapdoor Springfield rifle. This is a beautiful, possibly unfired Officers model trapdoor 3rd type. Beautiful blue throughout the barrel and buttplate and bright vivid case colors on the lock and breach area. The wood is excellent as well. This gun is missing the pistol grip that is normally found. Based on the condition of this gun, we are of the opinion it never had it or it was removed at the time it was brand new. The condition on this gun is simply exceptional!
